I’m Shaun Singh, an engineer and businessman, and the Managing Director of Eraa (U.K.) Ltd, the family business behind Loxta and the other Eraa brands. Our brands cover architectural ironmongery, security hardware, lifestyle goods and consumer products, supported by Abacus Metals, our wholly owned manufacturing facility in Jaipur, India.
I’m an engineer by training. I hold a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University and I’m a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE), working towards Chartered Engineer status. I was born in Jaipur and raised in Lancashire, and I grew up around the business: Eraa was founded in 1987 by my father, with my mother’s support.
My career started in automotive, with a year in computer-aided engineering at Meridian Technologies, running finite element analysis on structural components for vehicle programmes at McLaren, Ferrari, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo and SAIC. I then joined Vital Energi, where I led the launch of the vPro energy management system and became Heat Metering & Billing Manager.
I launched Loxta in 2014 and founded Litra Consulting in 2016, a consultancy that works with heat network operators and suppliers on heat metering and billing. I joined the Eraa board on 1 January 2020 and now lead the group as Managing Director. In January 2025, Loxta’s STEALTH Commander door handle achieved Sold Secure Silver certification.
I work at both ends of the business, from board-level strategy to time on the shop floor with our manufacturing teams. That range comes from automotive, renewable energy and now the Eraa brands.
